....man muss auf dreckigen Bettlaken schlafen, der Fußboden war voller Haare, kein Toilettenpapier vorhanden, die Wohnung ist super laut, ohne Ohropax kann man nicht schlafen... Es kleben viele Verhaltensregeln an der Wand, - der Betreiber scheint aber keine Pflichten zu haben!

Lage ist gut, zu Fuss in die Alfama, die legendäre Electrico 28 hält direkt vor dem Haus (Fahrt kostet mit 7-Colinas-Karte 80 Cent), Busse zum Airport und den Bahnhöfen auch, fuer empfindliche Leute vielleicht etwas laut, Kueche mit Mikrowelle, Kuehlschrank und Wasserkocher, Zimmer mit TV, immer heisses Wasser. Frau im Moebelladen spricht etwas Englisch. Hab kein 5-Sterne-Hotel erwartet und war zufrieden.

I am advising you against this hostel. You can lose your money not knowing in every. The owner thinks that he can strain your Visa cards at his own discretion and without consultation with you.

Comments (English):
Price was (and perhaps still is!) 15 Euros per night (in my case for single occupancy of a twin room - at least a room with a bunk bed). Given the location - a capital city in wesern Europe - this represents remarkable value for money. Room was clean, as were the shared kitchen and bathroom, and very close to a metro station. Located above a charming furniture store, the lady with whom I dealt (the ladlandy, I presume) was polite, friendly and trusting. Highly recommended if travelling on a limited budget!

We went to Lisbon weth freinds (totally 4 person). We stayed at Village Home for nearly week. It was nice time we spoent there.
The rooms are not big, but so nice and clean. There is a kitchen too (outside rooms). The owner of Village Home - Faizal - is a nice man :)) Greetings!
Location is OK (few tram-stops from downtown - 15 min. or by feet - 40 min) It is not comfortable place (not 5 stars hotel :)) but for tourists / students which need "one bed only" :), TV, tel, WC, kitchen - without service should be OK. I know - I'll come back there asap :))

We stayed for 2 weeks. This apartment is so cheap, excellent for long stay in Lisbon, although it does have a kitchen but all applicates are broken, except for the kettle! A word of warning, do not leave any food in your room or you'll have some unwelcome guests! Cleaner comes once every 2 days I think! Because on some days she didnt come for three days, she can be a bit erratic! The location is fairly good, as you'll probably use tram or bus there and back, it takes about 10 mins. But there's no late night tram or bus, taxis are cheap anyway as you can expect about 5 euros for the fare.
