If you are looking for a genuine warmth of welcome and a Quinta brimming with charm and history, the “Quinta da Alcaidaria-Mór” certainly fills the bill. Amazingly, the home has been the same for over 300 years. The original owner was the king`s personal physician, and, as thanks of his years of loyal service, the king gave him the property and also a noble title. There are six guestrooms, all large and prettly decorated in a fresh, uncluttered style, with beautiful antique beds and a few fine pieces of furniture. Nothing is overdone or dark and heavy. The rooms have an appealing English-country look with shuttered windows accended by sheer with curtains, and pretty rose-patterned fabric repeated on the bedspreads, drapes, and upholstered chairs. As an addes bonus for guests, there is a swimming pool in the garden. Walks are also possible in the farm. There is also an apartment with room, bathroom, sitting-room and kitchenette. Nearby you can visit Ourém, Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré, Óbidos, Coimbra, Constância, Almorol.
	From A1, exit in Fátima, follow signs to Ourém. 2,5 km after Ourém, where the road splits (the left branch is marked to Seiça and the right to Tomar). In the middle of the intersection, on the left side of the road, there is an entrance that leads through a row of trees to the house.
