We have 4, 6 and 8 beds dorms, 3 twin rooms and a double room, with shared bathrooms, kitchen, breakfast and internet included. | | Central, safe and relaxing, Shiado Hostel is located in the Chiado area's heart, the cultural soul of Lisbon, a step away from the São Carlos Opera, the Chiado Museum and the headquarters of Companhia Nacional de Bailado.
Open in March 2009 and decorated by artists and friends, it's the ideal starting point to fall in love with Lisbon: everything is near. In our hostel you will find comfort, cleanlyness, safety and a staff always available to advise you on places to visit, night bars or restaurants.
We have a guest kitchen, free internet and wi-fi, cable tv, dvd's and all shared rooms have lockers to keep your personal affairs safe.
Our main worry is to guarantee tranquillity to our guests while in the hostel but, for those who prefer to dive into Lisbon's night, just a few steps away to breath the electric Bairro Alto's atmosphere!
And, for those who want to relax a little bit more, our neghtbours are the Portuguese Macrobiotic Institute and the Yoga Centre Gayatri: discover the opportunity to give yourself a little bit of wellbeing without going out of the door...!

Take the underground's blue line towards Santa Apolónia. Get off in BAIXA-CHIADO and go out of the underground following the directions to "Largo do Chiado". You will find us at the end of the road on you left, between "La Vida Portuguesa" shop and the "Kaffeehaus", in front of the "New Wok" restaurant.

Get off in BAIXA-CHIADO and go out of the underground following the directions to "Largo do Chiado". Bus 745 towards SANTA APOLÓNIA, get off at ROSSIO, take the Calçada do Carmo, then 1st right (Rua Garrett) then second left, at Bertrand's bookshop's corner (Rua Anchieta). You will find us at the end of the road left, between "La Vida Portuguesa" shop and the "Kafeehaus", in front of the New Wok restaurant.
Option 2 (350 mt walking):
Bus nr 22 towards MARQUES DE POMBAL, get off in Marques de Pombal, take the metro towards SANTA APOLÓNIA. Get off in BAIXA-CHIADO and exit towards "Largo do Chiado". From Oriente station: By Taxi: Around 10 mins, fare: 5-10€. Public Transport: Take the underground's red line towards ALAMEDA. Get off in Alameda and take the green line towards CAIS DO SODRE.
